You can easily add 8hp and 13lbs. x ft. torque within minutes. This durable 16-gauge heat shield that mounts quickly to the factory air box, sports a massive 5-1/2" washable/reusable, air filter while increasing airflow over the stock air intake system. Other features included are a 3-angle adaptor for increased air velocity and a heat-insulating black powder-coated aluminum tube that connects to the factory air intake tract. Within 15 minutes you can transform your F150's nature from stock to mild performer.Manifold Air Pressure Sensor ?In 2012 Ford began using a Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor instead of a Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF). This intake is designed specifically to be used with the factory MAP sensor. 5-1/2" Conical Filter with Inverted Top- This intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2" oval conical Pro 5R performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque.Top Mounted Heat Shield Design- aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations.3-Angle Adaptor- The 3-angle adaptor is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response.Note: This intake fits the 2012-Current models only.
