This intake system is superior in every way. From the one-piece sealed housing to the massive Pro 5R air filter and premium hardware, we spared no expense to give you the best intake on the market.Unique One-Piece Housing: The smooth one-piece sealed housing with auxiliary air scoop is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A urethane plug is also included for those cold weather applications where you want to block the auxiliary air scoop. A large, stainless steel plate is used for an aggressive style.Huge Pro 5R Performance Air Filter: The Momentum HD is designed around a massive Pro 5R performance 360 degree radial flow air filter with 5-layers of progressive cotton gauze media providing 98.6% cumulative efficiency and maximum flow. The unique air filter to housing interface (patent pending) allows for maximum filter size which increases the available air volume while simplifying the installation process. The air filter is wrapped in reinforced metal providing maximum strength to prevent filter collapse.Premium Hardware: Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a 2-ply reinforced silicone hump coupler at the turbo is used for strength and durability while also providing the most secure installation available. Momentum HD intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.Proven Results: After a rigorous design and testing phase, the results are in. The Momentum HD intake system outflowed the factory intake by 44% and produces 18 additional horsepower and 43lbs. x ft. torque.Power, Protection and Simplicity.*Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.Note: This intake system can be used with the aFe Dynamic Air Scoop (D.A.S) P/N: 54-82039 (Sold Separately)Customer Testimonial: "The install went well on the new cold air intake system. The molded air box makes install a piece of cake. We did the install in a parking lot and it took us less than a half hour. The first thing I noticed was how quiet the intake is. I heard nothing until I got on it. I was pulling a Jeep on a trailer during the 1300 mile trip. I keep a record of my gas mileage and have done so for the last couple of years. I noticed an immediate increase in fuel economy. Igained close to a mile to the gallon. But the biggest thing I noticed was the EGT's. On hills where my temp alarm would normally go off. I could use all of my throttle and not have the temps climb. I feel like I lost close to 200 degrees in exhaust temp, which is great! It's nice to have a bunch of power and actually be able to use it." -Dennis W.*Most of the images provided are for illustration purposes
