On your hunt for power aFe recommends our stage 1 air intake system. You can easily add 8hp and 13lbs. x ft. torque within minutes. This durable 16-gauge heat shield that mounts quickly to the factory air box, sports a massive 5-1/2" washable/reusable, air filter while increasing airflow over the stock air intake system. Other features included are a 3-angle adaptor for increased air velocity and a heat-insulating black powder-coated aluminum tube that connects to the factory air intake tract. Within 15 minutes you can transform your F150's nature from stock to mild performer.Manifold Air Pressure Sensor – In 2012 Ford began using a Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensor instead of a Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF). This intake is designed specifically to be used with the factory MAP sensor. 5-1/2" Conical Filter with Inverted Top- This intake utilizes a huge, 5-1/2" oval conical Pro DRY S performance air filter with inverted top for maximum flow. This 3-layer progressive, non-oiled synthetic air filter requires no oils for cleaning for maximum convenience.Top Mounted Heat Shield Design- aFe developed this heat shield to snap onto the top of the lower half of the factory air box to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing factory mounting locations.3-Angle Adaptor- The 3-angle adaptor is used to speed up the air flow after the air filter for improved performance and throttle response.Note: This intake fits the 2012-Current models only.
